Who makes decisions and gives strategic direction to the RCC?

Strategic Advisory Council

The Strategic Advisory Council advises and supports the Research Careers Campus and the Rectorate and makes recommendations on strategic agendas, when accepting new consortia and when drawing up the annual programme. The members during the function period 2025 to 2027 are:

• Stephan Vrabl (Deputy: Janne Creve)

About the SAC: It is convened as needed, but at least once a year, by the Rectorate member responsible for the Research Careers Campus. Members of the Strategic Advisory Council are the four consortium representatives elected by the General Assembly, one representative of the doctoral candidates and one representative of the postdocs. The chair of the Strategic Advisory Council is the Rectorate member responsible for the Research Careers Campus, and the deputy chair is another member of the Rectorate to be appointed depending on the chair's departmental responsibility. The management of the Research Careers Campus takes part in the meetings of the Strategic Advisory Council in an advisory capacity. 

Sounding Board

To ensure intensive exchange with the faculties of the University of Graz, the research deans are invited once a year as a “Sounding Board”.
