What does the RCC contribute to the international research community?

Portrait Heinemann und Reszler, (c) Stadlbauer, Uni Graz

In advance of our festival (April 22-23), we've asked our community what they think of our work.

Why do universities need researcher development? In advance of our festival (April 22-23), we've asked our community what they think of our work.

Long-time collaborators Maria A. Heinemann and Victoria Reszler have gotten back to us with a statement. Maria and Victoria are the Arqus local coordinators.

Arqus European University Alliance, to which the University of Graz belongs since 2018, promotes international exchange among early-stage researchers through a variety of activities and networking initiatives. In doing so, it supports the sustainable development of successful research collaborations between partner universities while also strengthening the international networks and visibility of University of Graz researchers, both of which are essential for their research careers.

Maria and Victoria state:

"From the very beginning, our colleagues at the Research Careers Campus have supported us - whether by providing creative ideas for tailored initiatives, delivering training courses to our international community of Arqus early-stage researchers, or, above all, by coordinating the alliance’s activities in the area of early-stage researcher development since its founding. Without a doubt, we can say - also on behalf of our alliance partners - that Arqus would never have come this far in its efforts to promote early-stage researchers without the extraordinary commitment and exceptional expertise of our colleagues at the Research Careers Campus."

Apart from this connection, Maria and Victoria are also our beloved neighbors and kitchen-buddies, so if you visit us in Leechgasse 42, you see them as well.

  • We want to encourage you follow the Arqus PhD Portal page and regularly check out open calls on the main Arqus website: https://arqus-alliance.eu/news/!
  • Register for our Festival here: https://postdoc.uni-graz.at/de/veranstaltungen/research-careers-campus-festival/. Maybe you'll get the chance to have a chat with Maria and Victoria there!
