Small grants to help build your independent research profile

On July 16, 2025, the selection committee met for the first time since establishment of the Research Careers Campus.

39 grants were awarded in this round!

We congratulate all awardees, and we wish them much success with their work!

The RCC aims to support researchers of all career stages to stay connected and visible, with micro grants to enable them to enhance their research activities. The aim is to promote academic networking and the development of an independent research profile. Eligible are 1) employees in research contracts and 2) doctoral candidates of the University of Graz (see below for different target groups).

The Grants went to researchers from fields such as:

  • American literary studies, educational scienecs, mathematics, chemistry, sociology, aging studies, gender history, old testament studies, psychology, philosophy, pharmaceutical sciences, AI studies, and many more

They will use the funds:

  • to host events with international researchers in Graz
  • to present their research to colleagues and conduct research activities abroad (such as in Paris, Trondheim, Basel, Madrid, Lille, Lisbon, Budapest, Montreal, Belgrade, Seattle, Santiago)
  • to work forwards successful funding proposals

Applications for RCC Grants can be made on an ongoing basis, the next committee meeting selecting grantees will be in mid-October 2025 (deadline: Oct 15). Full info: Funding through the rcc - Research Careers Campus Graz
