Changing Academic Life: Podcast Interview with Johanna Stadlbauer of the RCC

(c) Leljak Uni Graz, Stadlbauer

Career planning on your own terms, switching from academia to industry, working as a researcher developer

Geraldine Fitzpatrick has interviewed Head of the Research Careers Campus, Johanna Stadlbauer, about connections between her past career in research and her job today, and about how to find work-life joy and fun. Geraldine was able to draw out a theme of agency, making decisions on one's own terms, and focussing on what nourishes us at work.

Geraldine was Professor of Technology Design and Assessment, and Head of the Human Computer Interaction Group in the Department of Computer Science at TU Wien. She is now an internationally sought-after keynote speaker, leadership development consultant, facilitator, coach and policy advisor. She hosts the Changing Academic Life podcast since 2016.

Her podcast series has over 100 interviews and six seasons. She says about her mission: „What drives me is my belief that we can transform workplace cultures by enabling people to bring their best selves to work, supported by empathic leaders and collegial workplace cultures and practices.” About Me – Geraldine Fitzpatrick
