Content and aim:
Negotiations are part of research careers – whether you are being hired, promoted, hit certain milestones during a contract, or just in daily communications with your line manager. For all those who feel they would like to be more prepared for such situations, we offer an expert talk with a full professor who is passionate about improving the conditions under which research is conducted, and who will transparently share her knowledge of mutally successful negotiation situations.
Expert:
Jana Lasser is computational social scientist. She works as a Professor for Data Analysis at the University of Graz and leads the research group of Complex Social & Computational Systems at the interdisciplinary center IDea_Lab, and is also Associate Faculty at the Complexity Science Hub Vienna. Lasser holds an ERC Starting Grant, is an outspoken and active advocate of scientific integrity and Open Science, works towards improving reproducibility and transparency of research and is a founding member of the Network Against Abuse of Power in Science.
