Leadership Lab for Researchers II: Expanding your toolbox of skills

Target group: all researchers with a PhD

Module 2: Expanding your toolbox of leadership skills (both modules can be taken individually, module 1 was on Jun 11)

Contents:

• Effective Communication: guiding principles, giving feedback, leading difficult conversations
• Skills and mindset for fostering a positive and productive research culture
• Developing your team members
• Self-Management: prioritization, delegation, and managing one’s energy as a leader

Methods: Theoretical input, role plays, peer exchange, small-group discussions.

About the trainer: Dr. Yasmin Dolak-Struss is a trainer and systemic coach for researchers. She studied Technical Physics and did her doctorate in Biomathematics at the Vienna University of Technology. After several years in research, she joined a large research funding organisation where she advised and coached international researchers on European funding programmes and career development. As a certified systemic coach, she supports researchers in finding a successful and happy career path.
