Dženana Pupić, co-host of the Friday writing group, former member of the PostDoc Peer Mentoring group, and all around great collaborator, has provided us with this statement:
“Researchers need a clear and realistic orientation early on as to which career paths are open to them, which prerequisites are decisive for this and how these can be developed in a targeted manner. This also includes sharpening their own academic profile, consciously setting priorities and positioning themselves strategically - both within academia and in non-university contexts. The Research Careers Campus supports us in this by promoting networking and peer learning, strengthening individual skills and teaching key competences through targeted training, workshops and other formats. At the same time, it offers a structured overview of various career options within and outside academia and helps to clearly determine one's own position and next steps.”
We’re grateful to have connections with researchers like Dženana Pupić, who are so active in shaping their institution, and making University of Graz a great workplace.
